President Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil  condoles passing away of Dr. Norman Borlaug

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has condoled the passing away of Nobel Laureate, Dr. Norman Borlaug. 

In her condolence message, the President has said, "Dr. Borlaug had a special place in the hearts of all Indians, as he along with Shri M.S. Swaminathan brought the "Green Revolution" to India. The "Green Revolution" marked a watershed in India's agrarian economy and rural development. In his passing away the world has lost a famous agricultural scientist and a friend of India."
