The
flag hoisting ceremony on
Independence Day, August 15, 2008
will be held at 10:00 AM
at the
Embassy Residence
2700 Macomb Street, Washington, DC 20008
This would be followed by patriotic songs and light
refreshments.
Indian nationals and friends of India are cordially invited to the function.
Invitees are requested to assemble
at the Embassy Residence by 9.30 AM and to please carry photo IDs.
The Embassy Residence is situated close to
Cleveland Park Metro (on Red Line). Parking arrangements for private vehicles
have been made at Woodley Park Zoo Parking, from where a shuttle will ferry the
guests to the Embassy Residence and back.
